The Healing Component reached number 110 on the US Billboard 200 . After a week it left the album charts in the United States again.

criticism

The e-zine Laut.de rated The Healing Component with four out of a possible five points. From the editor Thomas Haas' point of view, Jenkins lyrically “ always keeps an eye on the superordinate context. "So he raps" about love for yourself [...], love for family, friends, God, your own culture or simply your counterpart. “With the piece Drowning Mick Jenkins makes “ an important and at the same time the best musical contribution to the American debate about police violence and institutional racial discrimination. “However, the album“ does not maintain this “ enormous standard ” all the time. “The“ recurring spoken skits and outros ”slow down The Healing Component too much.
