Cinematic Music Group (CMG) is an American independent label founded by Johnny Shipes that focuses on hip-hop artists. The record company primarily offers young, talented and hitherto unknown artists a platform and also takes on general tasks in the areas of management , touring , marketing and entertainment .

In February 2016, Cinematic announced the addition of the Brooklyn band Caveman to their Rooster. This is the first time that CMG tries to collaborate with artists from the field of rock music .
