The Legend in Holiday World ( Santa Claus , Indiana , USA ) is a wooden roller coaster from Custom Coasters International , which opened on May 6, 2000. It was constructed by the designer Larry Bill .
The theming is based on Washington Irving's story The Legend of Sleepy Hollow . The passengers race through the forest while they are chased by the merciless headless rider.
The journey includes four tunnels , one of which is underground, as well as a 34 m high descent, a 23 m high spiral descent and another 20 m high descent. The ride also includes a double helix .
Trains
The Legend owns two trains from Philadelphia Toboggan Coasters , each with six cars. Four people (two rows of two people) can be seated in each car. Originally, Raven was equipped with only one train from Gerstlauer Amusement Rides . This was replaced in 2002 by two PTC trains. The passengers must be at least 1.22 m tall to be allowed to ride.
