Santa Claus is a city in Spencer County . It is located in the southwest of the state of Indiana in the United States . Santa Claus was founded in 1854.

history

When it was founded in 1854, the settlement was initially called Santa Fe . When an attempt was made to establish an office for the United States Postal Service , the residents were informed that a town called Santa Fe already existed in Indina. As a result, the residents changed the name to Santa Claus in 1856.

Because of the city's name, Santa Claus has been receiving letters from children at Christmas for over a hundred years, which volunteers answer.
