Jay Christopher Cutler (* 29. April 1983 in Santa Claus , Indiana ) is an American American football poker players at the position of quarterback .

High school and college

Cutler attended high school in Lincoln City , Indiana, and then played college football at Vanderbilt University .

NFL

Denver Broncos

In the 2006 NFL Draft , Cutler was selected in the first round as the eleventh player by the Denver Broncos . The 1.91 m tall Cutler wears the number 6 on his back and played for the Broncos until 2008. After the 2008 season , he was elected to the Pro Bowl .

Chicago Bears

On January 2, 2014, wrote Cutler a 7-year contract with the Chicago Bears, who tied him up in the season 2020 at the club and his 126 million US dollars held out the prospect. After a mixed season in 2014, in which there was already speculation about a possible departure from Cutler, he improved himself in 2015 and set a personal season record in the QB rating with 92.3 . In the 22:19 win over the San Diego Chargers on November 9, 2015, he set a new franchise record with his 139th touchdown pass for the Bears.

He was released from the Chicago Bears on March 9, 2017.

On May 5, 2017, he took on a role as a commentator at Fox , replacing John Lynch .

Miami Dolphins

In August 2017, Cutler came out of retirement and signed with the Miami Dolphins for a year after Ryan Tannehill was injured at the end of the season. He finished the season with 19 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. Cutler could not qualify for the playoffs with the Dolphins.

Private

Cutler has been married to actress and model Kristin Cavallari since June 7, 2013 . The couple has two sons (* August 8, 2012 and May 7, 2014, respectively) and a daughter (* 2015). In 2008 Cutler was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes mellitus.
