The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince ( Japanese original title: 嘘 つ き 姫 と 盲目 王子 , Usotsuki Hime to Mōmoku Ōji , German for example: "The Lying Princess and the Blind Prince") is a computer game released in 2018, developed and distributed by the Japanese studio Nippon Ichi Software . The game was first released in Japan on March 31, 2018 for the Nintendo Switch , PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita systems . On February 12, 2019, versions for Switch and PlayStation 4 were launched worldwide.

A young prince lived in a castle surrounded by dark forests that hardly anyone dared to venture into. Still, he would sneak out every night to listen to beautiful singing. The song came from a female wolf monster, who was always happy when the prince applauded. One night the prince decided to go into the forest to find the originator of this beautiful voice. He climbed the hill from which the voice sounded, but was immediately attacked by a monster and badly injured in the face, whereupon the prince went blind. That monster was the wolf girl, the injury by accident. She was very frightened and couldn't bear the idea that he saw her in her form. Full of shame for his blind son, his father, the king, locks him up in a dungeon. The she-wolf felt guilty and asked the witch of the forest for help in order to restore the prince's eyesight. But only in exchange for her wonderful singing voice can she transform into a beautiful human princess. The she-wolf agrees, frees the prince and sets off with him on a journey, always in the hope that he will not find out who she really is.
Gameplay
The game is a hand drawn 2D action adventure. In the role of the princess you evade opponents, fight them, and you can switch to the old wolf form at the push of a button, and lead the blind prince by the hand. The prince listens to simple commands like holding a lantern or following. The game has different endings. Only when you collect all the flowers in the levels that are hidden behind more difficult puzzles and tasks can you unlock the best ending.
