London Review of Books
The London Review of Books , LRB for short , is a bi-weekly British literary magazine.
It was founded in 1979 by the previous editors of the Times Literary Supplement when The Times was suspended for a year. It appeared as a supplement to the New York Review of Books for the first six months . In May 1980 the London Review became an independent publication with a more left-wing political orientation.
The first editor of the London Review was Karl Miller ; the current editor is Mary-Kay Wilmers . In 2013, the circulation was 62,142 copies, making LRB the literary magazine with the highest circulation in Europe.
