The Loud Mouth is a 1932 American short film .

action

In a grocery store, a man speaks loudly to his friend Jim about a fat woman buying meat. An argument arises with the other customers, the man is thrown out of the store.

The man works for the volunteer fire department . He is told a story by a colleague about another married colleague who is having an affair with a 14-year-old girl. The man swears not to tell anyone about it. Still, he passes the story on to every colleague he meets. The colleague with the affair finds out who is talking about him and puts the man in a fight. Before the fight, the man reveals to his colleague from whom he heard the story. Both are beaten up.

During the Sunday service, the man in the church sees an altar boy knocking over the basin with the holy water and describes him as a booby. The man is expelled from the church.

In 1932 the film was nominated for an Oscar in the Best Short Film (Comedy) category.
