The MathWorks, Inc., or MathWorks for short , is a privately held US-American company that specializes in software for technical calculations and multi-domain simulation and software for dynamic systems .

Products

The main products are:

  • MATLAB is the core product for numerical calculations.
  • Simulink is software for modeling dynamic systems.
  • Stateflow enables the modeling and simulation of finite automata .
  • Simscape is used to model and simulate physical systems based on their topology, the modeling depicts the structure instead of the equations.

In addition to these, there are over 90 other products that add specific capabilities for different application domains.

From all these modeling approaches, C code and partly C ++ code can be generated in order to be able to bring functionality to embedded systems , for example.

In addition, the Polyspace tool can be used to increase the quality (reliability) of programs through static code analysis . For this purpose, MISRA violations are first checked and the behavior continues to be analyzed using abstract interpretation .
