The Monument (English for The monument is) a 495 m high rock column on the West Antarctic island Red Iceland in Prince Gustav Channel .
The first sighting goes back to participants in the Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1901–1903) led by Otto Nordenskjöld . The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey mapped them in 1945 and named them descriptive.
