The Murderous Mistake is a rock band from Bad Waldsee near Ravensburg.
Band history
The formation was founded in 1993 by Dominik Bollivo (guitar), Markus Iselt (bass), Silvia Münster (background vocals) and Heiko Münster (vocals). After seven months, their self-produced and marketed debut Golden Age appeared . Between 1999 and 2001, sound technician Peter Torresin and keyboardist Woldemar Schemitow joined them. Bassist Markus Iselt was replaced by Stephanie Gärtner in 2000. The guitarist Conny Schmidt-Leistner strengthened the formation from 2004 to 2008.
Music genre
Characteristic is the musical fusion of electronic styles with sometimes strong rhythm guitar accompaniment. On their first two works, Golden Age and Access Denied , The Murderous Mistake initially combined their style primarily with elements of electro-wave and gothic music from the late 1980s. For the following albums, the band increasingly resorted to techno / trance elements and occasionally EBM sequences (for example in Manifesto ) and at the same time approached the New German Hardness through the repeated use of German-language texts . Manifest was musically and lyrically compared to Rammstein , Umbra et Imago and Unheilig .

Most successful song
The band's most successful song so far was the song Totentanz , which appeared on the 2009 album Manifest . Totentanz was pressed a total of more than 250,000 times and has become an integral part of the playlists of German discotheques and radios in the black scene .
