In the churchyard of the Catholic parish church of St. Vinzentius in Oberaußem there is a memorial for the resettlement of Fortuna by the brown coal works. For the demolished church of the place, the remainder of the deferred tower was erected like a monument with a curved dome over the 8-sided tower. On the remains of the tower you can see a memorial plaque with the following inscription: “The bell tower comes from the St. Barbara Church in Fortuna. This church was built in 1923 and demolished in 1983 due to open-cast lignite mining. " | 236 |
