location
Zieverich Castle is a former knight's seat. The old part, a rectangular brick building with six by two axes, was rebuilt in a simplified manner. The strong round brick tower - presumably from the 16th century - with loopholes has been preserved in the southeast corner. The slate dome of the tower dates from the 18th century. Inside, the tower room has a baroque stucco ceiling from around 1730. Instead of the outer bailey, there is now a two-storey coach house from the 18th century with a domed hipped roof and original, arched windows. 54 0Dec. 6, 1989

It is a two-field weir with a total width between the chamber walls of 9.52 m. The chamber walls and abutment wings are made of brickwork and the slightly rounded corners of the chamber walls are made of natural stone (basalt lava). The access bridge with railing spanning the flood channel is built in concrete between steel profiles with a cement screed layer. Two wooden protective panels with a drive by racks and electric motors are embedded in a steel construction made of screwed U and double T profiles. 254 0June 4, 2007
