The Orange Man Theory is an Italian band from Rome . The band was founded in 2003 and plays a mixture of hardcore and noise rock with influences from grindcore .

Band history

The group was founded in Rome in 2003 by singer Gianni Serusi and drummer Andrea “Merendina” Cruciani as a fun project, and a little later Gabriele “Gabbo” Giaccari joined as guitarist. The band name The Orange Man Theory alludes to the Italian pedestrian traffic lights. In addition to the green and red signals, there is also a male on the yellow signal. This lights up before switching to red, so you have to be aware that you are running at your own risk. This was comparable to the founding of the band, it was done at your own risk to play the music the founders like. The band members are influenced by different styles of music, the styles range from jazz to grindcore. The band was sponsored by Steve Austin ( Today Is the Day ), who signed them to his Supernova Records label and released their debut album Riding A Cannibal Horse From Here To… in 2007. Although the band recorded the second album Satan Told Me I'm Right in 2008 for Austin's label, it was not released due to financial problems of the label. The Italian independent label Subsound Records offered the group a contract for Europe and released the second album in 2009. This was followed by a tour through Europe in the opening act at 16 as well as appearances as support for Lock Up . In April 2010, one appeared split - Single with Lucky Funeral, 2011, the band went with Jucifer on tour. In 2012, work began on the third studio album. During the recording, founding member Gianni Serusi left the band and was replaced by Giorgioni. In May 2013 the album Giants, Demons And Flocks of Sheep was released on the Italian label Subsound Records.
