The Plugz

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Plugz (also known as "Los Plugz") were a Latino - punk rock - band from Los Angeles in the United States that existed from 1978 to 1984.

Band history

Originally the group consisted of Tito Larriva (vocals, guitar), Charlie Quintana (drums) and Barry McBride (bass). With this line-up they recorded their debut album Electrify Me . McBride left the band before the recording of the second album Better Luck , which was recorded with guest musicians. As a result, there were further changes.

Songs by the band were used for the soundtrack of two films (see discography). On March 22, 1984, they played three tracks with Bob Dylan on the television show Late Night with David Letterman .

In 1984 the group changed its name and called itself Cruzados . On September 11, 2007, the original members of the Plugz got together again to perform at The Masque 30th Anniversary Party and Book Release in Los Angeles.
