The Pyramid is a three-part feature film by director Pierre Woodman from 1996. It was named best European film (Meilleur Film Européen) at the 1997 Hot d'or and also won in the categories of “Best Screenplay” and “Best Cover”.

The archaeologist William and Elizabeth Reuter in Egypt in search of a treasure map. When they find what they are looking for, the police chase the couple out of the ruins. A chase ensues through the old ruins, which the two can only escape with the help of a cobra.
Meanwhile, a blonde American tourist is trying to make a trip on the Nile . Their search for a boat leads them to Le Pêcheur. He shows her the boat and the two get closer. After the cops lose their suspects, they decide to pay a visit to a local party girl, Yasmine. An outdoor sex scene ensues.
William and Elizabeth want to rent a boat, which brings them in contact with Jolt. He agrees to take her back to Cairo , but has to eat a bite first. They accompany him home, where his wife, Sandra Dark, is waiting with lunch. The two prove to be very hospitable and tell exciting stories about crocodiles on the Nile. After the meal, the hosts offer a very special dessert.
Three days later, William and Elizabeth are on their way through a maze of an ancient tomb with the map. In the grave they find a perfectly preserved woman. She opens her eyes and sits up. Instead of screaming, William and Elisabeth stay to hear their story. Four thousand years ago Tania was sent to earth as a goddess to teach people to love. Unfortunately, she was locked in the tomb by a jealous wife of the Pharaoh. The film then shows in a flashback how four thousand years ago four women bathed Tania in preparation for the pharaoh, who then has fun with her.
Now that she is free, Tania wants to see the world and modern wonders. They go to the Minister of Culture in Cairo to find protection. He seems a little skeptical about her story, but a look at a valuable piece of gold jewelry convinces him and he wants to know how he can help.
