The Pyramid ( Swedish pyramids , translated on both sides as the pyramid ) is a pyramid-shaped and 554 m high nunatak in the north of Grahamland on the Antarctic Peninsula . On the Trinity Peninsula, it rises 2.5 km southeast of the head end of Hope Bay .
A team around Johan Gunnar Andersson discovered and named the Nunatak during the Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1901–1903) under the direction of Otto Nordenskjöld . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee converted this designation into English on November 21, 1949.
