content
A total of 15 players are included on the compilation:
- Mystery House (1980)
- The Wizard And The Princess (1980)
- Mission Asteroid (1981)
- Time Zone (1982)
- The Dark Crystal (1982)
- King's Quest I: Quest for the Crown (1984)
- King's Quest II: Romancing the Throne (1985)

- The Dagger of Amon Ra (1992)
With this line-up, the compilation is very similar to the King's Quest Collection released in 1997 , which only differed in two games: The King's Quest Collection lacks The Dark Crystal , but it contains mixed-up Mother Goose . In addition to the 15 games, the Roberta Williams Anthology also contained demo versions of King's Quest 8: Mask of Eternity and Phantasmagoria (computer game) . The five oldest games in the collection are text adventures that were originally programmed for the Apple II and were delivered with an emulator to enable them to run on PCs that were modern at the time.
sale
The Roberta Williams Anthology was only available in limited editions, which is why it sold out quickly. The recommended retail price in 1997 was between 70 and 90 D-Marks .
Age ratings
This collection received different age restrictions internationally. In the USA it got it from the ESRB T-Teen 13+ due to "Animated Violence". The European ELSPA approved a release from 11 years. In Germany, the USK rated the collection as “Not suitable under 18 years”. OFLC, the corresponding organization in Australia, refused to give the collection an age classification, which, as in Germany, was accompanied by considerable sales restrictions. The organization justified the non-classification with the fact that the collection contained a demonstration of the game Phantasmagoria , which is also only available for adults in Germany .
