The Screenshots are a German-speaking punk rock band founded in 2018 .

history

The band consists of Susi Bumms, Kurt Prödel and Dax Werner. Behind these pseudonyms are young internet artists and a musician who met on Twitter . According to their own information, the band comes from Krefeld on the Lower Rhine . In their songs, they mainly devote themselves to satirical, social and political topics, such as reunification , the 2006 World Cup , internet culture and love.

In April 2018, a first collection of her songs was released with Ein stark Team . Die Zeit devoted an entire article to the album, although it was only published digitally, and praised the band, fortunately they managed "without overconfidence, stickiness and noise " and their debut would be the "most beautiful and smartest, warmest and boldest, saddest and funniest German pop -Plate of spring ". A few months later, the second album entitled Überschlag was released, also only digitally . In December 2018, their first physical release was finally released on the Staatsakt label with Europa LP . Europa LP contains all the songs from the first two albums. The Musikexpress awarded four out of six stars for this and praised the “intelligent stupidity that was one of the punk obstetricians, the pleasure in sarcasm, the vitality that rock music reclaims for itself, the“ Duhuhu ”of the hit, the anger, the irritation that makes the songs rumble ”.

They presented a song from Europe LP ( Google Maps ) live in Neo Magazin Royale in mid-December 2018 . This appearance was, as it were, their first public appearance, in which, however, they refrained from revealing their identities. In her performance, only silhouettes of the body could be seen. At the beginning of 2019 they played three live concerts in Hamburg , Cologne and Berlin .
