The Tusk (English for the tusk ) is a striking, pointed and 460 m high mountain made of white marble rock in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . On the Dufek coast, it rises 2.5 km south of Mount Henson in the eastern part of the Mayer Crags on the western flank of the mouth of the Liv Glacier in the Ross Ice Shelf .
The southern group of a campaign carried out by the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition from 1963 to 1964 gave it its descriptive name.
