The U-Men were a grunge band from Seattle , Washington . The band was one of the pioneers of grunge and was part of the Seattle scene alongside Green River and Soundgarden in the mid-1980s .
history
Tom Price ( guitar ) and Charlie "Chaz" Ryan ( drums ) formed the band together with Robin Buchan ( bass ) and John Bigley ( vocals ) in 1981. After a year Buchan left the band and was replaced by Jim Tillman. With this line-up, she recorded her first EP U-Men in 1984 . In 1987 she released her single Solid Action , after which Tillman left the band because the band was not successful enough. Jim was replaced by Tom Hazelmyer for the first album Step on a Bug . The album was released in 1988 and a short time later the band broke up.
