Tom Hazelmyer

Tom Hazelmyer (also Haze XXL) is an American musician , gallery owner and founder of the record label Amphetamine Reptile Records .

Life

Hazelmyer comes from the US state of Washington and was with US Marines . In 1986 he founded the band Halo of Flies and the record label Amphetamine Reptile Records to release the records of his band there. In the meantime he was also the bass player for The U-Men . After Halo of Flies split up in the early 1990s, he continued to run the label and released recordings of Helmet (band) and The Melvins there, among others . In 1998 Hazelmyer decided to close his label. Since then he has worked as a gallery owner at the OX-OP art gallery in Minneapolis .
