history
The project The Undergrave Experience was created in 2010 as a further development of the black metal project DUMP, which has been active since 2005. The project was founded by the singer, keyboardist and guitarist Marcel "Mors Taetra" as a solo project in Milan. In the same year, The Undergrave Experience released Macabre - Il richiamo delle ombre , their debut album via Solitude Productions . Andrea "Mephisto" Lobbia acted as the drummer. Reviews of the album ranged from particularly positive to negative. There were no subsequent publications. Meanwhile, The Undergrave Experience completed appearances and commissioned work for the background of horror films.
style
The group's music is attributed to Funeral Doom and is described with genre performers such as Urna and Arcana Coelestia as a Funeral Doom with influences from horror films and especially Giallo by Argento and Fulci . The music gives "a baroque and exquisite feeling" between horror films and funeral doom.
