The Venetian Macao Resort Hotel ( Chinese  chines 威尼斯人 度假村 酒店 ) is a large building in Macau , People's Republic of China . The 980,000 m² complex was built between 2004 and 2007. The design office was the Aedas / HKS joint venture . It is the sixth largest building in the world in terms of floor space and the largest hotel building in Asia. The operator is Las Vegas Sands .

The facility opened on August 28, 2007. The 151 meter high, angled hotel block with 38 floors and 2905 suites (7th to 38th floors) is striking . The house belongs to the luxury segment and includes a hotel , entertainment facilities and a casino . The casino consists of 800 gaming tables and around 3,400 slot machines . The Venetian also has several restaurants (nine with Chinese cuisine , six with Western cuisine, one with Japanese cuisine , four with other Asian cuisine ), numerous shops, a conference center , a theater , two ballrooms and an event arena ( CotaiArena ) with 15,000 Seats.

So far the house has received over 30 awards.

The facility is located on the Cotai Strip on the Taipa coast , where other major casinos and hotels are located.
