The Xcerts are an alternative rock band from Aberdeen , Scotland . The band itself describes their music as "Distorted Pop".

history

The band was founded by Murray MacLeod, then 13, and Jordan Smith when they were at school in Aberdeen, and later drummer Tom Heron from Brighton joined the band. By 2008, The Xcerts released several singles and toured in and outside the UK.

The first album In The Cold Wind We Smile was released on March 23, 2009 via Xtra Mile. On October 4, 2010, the second album Scatterbrain was released . In 2011 The Xcerts toured with Manchester Orchestra and Frank Turner, among others, and will support Brand New's European tour in early 2012 .
