The Yeouido Institute ( Korean : 여의도 연구원 , transliteration : Yeouidoyeonguwon , in German : Yeouido -Institut ) is a conservative think tank of the largest opposition party in South Korea , the Mirae-tonghap party . The organization is named after Yeouido Island in the Hangang , which is located in the center of Seoul ( Yeongdeungpo-gu ) and houses the city's main financial and investment banking district.

The think tank formulates the following goals for the party in view of the parliamentary elections in South Korea in 2020 :

  • Establishing a close communication system between the members
  • Strengthening on-site and online communication with citizens
  • Formulate timely responses to current problems and set political agendas that relate to everyday life of ordinary people
  • Develop strategies that encompass the interests of all generations, including millennials
  • Be as victorious as possible from the upcoming elections

Hwang Kyo-ahn is the chairman of the institute and Seong Dong-kyu is the director.
