Theater Community Hamburg
The TheaterGemeinde Hamburg eV is a theater organization based in Hamburg . More than 16,000 people took advantage of the offers. The registered association with a basic Christian attitude is a member of the Bund der Theatergemeinden and, since July 2017, its business theater community.
It was founded in 1984. The purposes of the statutes are:
- Awaken, promote and deepen understanding of art and culture
- Encourage participation in cultural events.
Josef Steinky has been the association's managing director since 2008; he previously worked as an independent theater agent . The honorary board members include Gerhard Bendt (since 2013), Günther Häger (since 1984), Roswitha Kleinwächter (since 2007) and Renate Rauscher (since 2004). According to the company's own information, around 16,000 subscribers currently (2017) use offers from the Hamburg Theater Community.

Subscriptions
In the 2017/18 season, the association is offering nine subscriptions for adults and two subscriptions for young people and children.
Sightseeing and travel
In addition to visiting the city or region, visiting various cultural events such as theater performances, guided tours through exhibitions or concerts is also part of the travel program. In 2016 there were trips to Breslau , Lübeck , Eutin , Sorrento and the Harz Mountains . In 2017 trips to Valencia , the Stettiner Haff , Paris and Ulrichhusen were offered.
other events
The association organizes special events once or twice a year. In November 2016 there was an exclusive insight into the Stage School Hamburg theater school for subscribers . In May of the same year there was a joint meeting with the ensembles of the DeutscheSchauSpielHaus Hamburg and the Ohnsorg Theater .
Members magazine
During the season, the magazine MAGAZIN appears once a month and is sent to all subscribers. This includes the program for the current month, from which these events can choose for their subscription, as well as articles about Hamburg's cultural life.
