Theater mat

The theater mat is since 2010 in Matte quarter in Berne ( Switzerland powered) Theater with performances of a layman - ensembles in Bern German dialect. Four to five productions, each with around 20 performances, are shown annually . The theater hall has around 100 seats.

history

The theater was founded in 2010 by Livia Anne Richard , Markus Maria Enggist , Annemarie Morgenegg, Fredi Stettler and Hank Shizzoe . The first performance took place on October 23, 2010. The play The Panther was performed by Felix Mitterer . In 2014, after extensive public discussion, the theater was refused any subsidies from the city's cultural funding . In 2016, Livia Anne Richard handed over the artistic direction of the theater to Corinne Thalmann.
