Theme park

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Theme Park (English for theme park ) is a computer game released in 1994 that belongs to the genre of business simulations . The game was developed by Peter Molyneux and his company Bullfrog Productions . The aim of the game is to build an amusement park , to equip it with new and exciting attractions and to attract as many visitors as possible in order to generate as much profit as possible.

There are numerous detailed setting options, for example the salt content of the french fries can be increased in order to increase the demand of the park visitors for drinks.

The game was originally intended to be the prelude to a "Theme" series, from which only the hospital simulation Theme Hospital has been released to this day . Peter Molyneux was no longer involved in this game or in the two theme park successors, Theme Park World (1999) and Theme Park Manager (2002).

Theme Park founded the sub-genre of theme park simulations, which was made very popular by the RollerCoaster Tycoon game series .

On March 22, 2007, a conversion for the Nintendo DS was released .
