Theo Bleser
Theo Bleser (* 1918 in Cologne ; † 1974 in Munich ) was a freelance German film poster painter and commercial artist .
Life
He worked for the Berliner Union-Film and the Burda Verlag as well as for the Heyne Verlag . For example, he designed the front pages of the paperback editions of the Swiss writer Robert Pilchowski for Heyne.
Bleser had his most intense creative period in the 50s and 60s. The pictures he left are currently being recorded and will be published on the Internet. His works are still traded on the art market today. In 2006, several works by Bleser were offered in auctions, including a poster draft in India ink on gray paper for the 1960 film “The Angry Young Men” with portraits of the main actors Joachim Fuchsberger , Horst Frank and Hansjörg Felmy , a poster draft for the film “ My heart belongs Dir ”from 1944 (although the film from Berliner Union-Film was also known under the titles“ I believe in you ! ”And“ Result of a great love ”) and the gouache “ Young woman with boxer ”, which was made around 1955.
