Theo Eshetu
Theo Eshetu (* 1958 in London ) is a British documentary , video and installation artist .
life and work
Theo Eshetu grew up in London and Ethiopia . In 1981 he graduated from the University of East London with a degree in communications design . Since 1997 he has worked as a director of cultural documentaries for the Rai - Radiotelevisione Italiana and teaches video art at the art academies of Carrara and L'Aquila and at the La Sapienza University in Rome. In 2012 he received a guest scholarship from the DAAD's Berlin artist program .
In 2011 Theo Eshetu exhibited at the Biennale di Venezia and in 2016 at the Dakar Biennale . In 2017 he was a participant in the Shanghai Biennale and documenta 14 in Athens and Kassel.
