Theodor Andersson

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Theodor Andersson ( December 1, 1889 - May 13, 1932 ) was a Swedish football player . He played an international match for the Swedish national team in 1913 .

Career

Andersson played for IFK Göteborg between at least 1910 and 1914 . While the club won the Svenska Mästerskapet final and won the Von Rosens Cup in the national championship in 1908, 1910 and 1918 before the introduction of the Allsvenskan as a national league in cup form , it was not part of the championship in any of the successes.

However, Andersson wrote himself in the annals of Swedish football in 1913, when the selection committee of Svenska Fotbollförbundet considered him as a selection player in the Swedish national team . In October of that year he made his colors debut in a 1-1 draw with Norway , while his Gothenburg team-mate Carl Ohlsson was the goalscorer for Sweden. There was no further international match as a result.

Nothing is currently known about Andersson's further life - especially away from the football field.
