Theodor Grawert
Julius Theodor Grawert (born July 18, 1858 in Zellin , † January 27, 1927 in Berlin ) was a German musician.
Life
Theodor Grawert was the son of the musician Johann August Grawert and his wife Louise Wilhelmine Voigt. After attending the village school, he studied music. From 1883 to 1906 he was a staff hoboist in the Royal Prussian 13th Infantry Regiment in Münster i. W. After studying in Berlin-Charlottenburg, he was appointed professor of music in 1908 and was music inspector for the Royal Prussian Army until 1918. He is the editor of the first edition of the Prussian Army March Collection (1914). In 1920 he was accepted into the Reichswehr and held the post of music inspector until 1924.
Grawert was a member of the Muenster Freemasons Lodge to the three bars .
