Theodor Ritte

Theodor Ritte (born December 30, 1865 in Donaueschingen ; † August 19, 1950 in Hugstetten , district of March (Breisgau) ) was a German piano teacher , composer and conductor .

Life

After studying piano, Ritte initially worked as a conductor in various cities and settled in Freiburg im Breisgau as a piano teacher around 1905 . Dissatisfied with his own playing technique, he developed the finger sports system "Energetos-Ritte" in the following years . Isometric exercises carried out with the greatest tension of will and muscle tension are intended to transform the normal hand into a supple piano hand.

Ritte published several textbooks and compositions, but was soon forgotten after a temporary success.
