Theodor Schenk

Theodor Schenk (born September 15, 1897 in Münsingen , † June 18, 1945 in Schorndorf ) was a Württemberg district administrator.

life and work

The son of a district court director studied law in Munich and Tübingen, where he was a member of the Hohenstaufia Tübingen gymnastics club . In 1921 and 1923 he passed the higher judicial service examinations and received his doctorate in Munich in 1923. In 1924 he joined the Württemberg interior administration and became a clerk at the Heidenheim regional office . In 1927 Theodor Schenk was seconded to the Bavarian State Administration Service and deployed to the Traunstein District Office and to the Ministry of the Interior. In 1930 he returned to the Württemberg administration and was assistant reporter at the Ministry of the Interior in Stuttgart. In 1932 he went to the police headquarters in Stuttgart as a councilor. In August 1933 he came to Schorndorf as a senior bailiff with the title of district administrator . In 1936 he moved to the Ministry of Economics and became a senior councilor, from 1939 he was also head of department in the regional food office. In 1944, Theodor Schenk's appointment as government director of Reichsstatthalter in Württemberg Wilhelm Murr was rejected.
