Theodor Thomsen

Theodor Thomsen (born March 29, 1904 in Kiel ; † May 14, 1982 ) was a German Olympic participant in sailing.

Thomsen started for the Kiel Yacht Club . In 1936 he was part of Hans Lubinus ' crew in the 6-meter class , which won the German championship. At the Olympic Regatta in 1936 in the Kiel area, the boat took sixth place after being disqualified on two regatta days. In 1942 Thomsen won another German championship title in the 6-meter class.

After the Second World War , Thomsen started in the dragon class . Together with Erich Natusch and Georg Nowka , he took third place in the 1952 Olympic Regatta off Helsinki. Thomsen, Natusch and Nowka also started in the Olympic regatta in 1956 in the dragon class, this time they achieved tenth place.

Theodor Thomsen was director of the Gerling group in Kiel.
