Theodor Wenning

Theodor Wenning (born February 8, 1887 in Werne an der Lippe, † October 3, 1958 in Hemer ) was a German architect and CDU politician.

From 1906 to 1909 he attended the building trade school in Höxter , which he graduated with the master craftsman's examination in 1909. From 1912 he worked as a freelance architect in Werne . In 1915 he was called up for military service. After his release he returned to Werne.

From 1945 to 1946 he was the full-time mayor of Werne. After the early death of Wilhelm Deist the district council chose him from Lüdinghausen to district an office which he held until his death on October 3, 1958. Hubert Schulze-Pellengahr , a member of the Bundestag from Ascheberg, was his successor as district administrator .

In 1957 Wenning received the Federal Cross of Merit, 1st class.
