Theodoros Dimitrief
Theodoros Dimitrief ( Greek Θεόδωρος Δημήτριεφ ; born August 15, 1929 in Athens , Greece ; † December 25, 2016 ) was a Greek actor and singer. In many appearances he also appears as Thodoros ( Greek Θόδωρος ) or Dimitriou ( Greek Δημητρίου ).
He started his appearances in 1955 as a singer in the revue theater "Vembo" ( Greek Βέμπο ) and "Kyvelis" ( Greek Κυβέλης ). In 1959 he was accepted into the National Theater for the performance of the trilogy " Orestie " (by Aeschylus), especially as a choir leader ( Koryphaios in Greek κορυφαίος, εξάρχων ), because of his voice, which was particularly suitable for the choir of ancient tragedies and comedies . His last appearance in the National Theater was in 2003/2004 in " Hamlet " as a ghost. (Director: Michael Cacoyannis )
In films he often appeared as Dimitriou ( Greek Δημητρίου ), for example in 1961 in " Atlas " (directed by Roger Corman ) and in 1962 in " Elektra " (directed by Michael Cacoyannis ) in the role of Agamemnon (as Theodore Demetriou ).
In 1964 he took part in the world premiere of the oratorio AXION ESTI by Odysseas Elytis and Mikis Theodorakis , which took place on October 19, 1964 in Athens in the "Kotopouli-REX" theater.
Since then, he has participated in films, theater, radio, TV episodes, and other musical and artistic events.
