Theodorus Lector
Theodorus Lector ( ancient Greek Θεόδωρος Αναγνώστης Theodoros Anagnostes ; † before 550) was a late antique church historian .
Theodorus Lector was, as his name suggests, a reader at the Hagia Sophia in Constantinople . His historia tripartita , written in Greek, is a compilation of pieces by Socrates Scholastikos , Sozomenos and Theodoret . Like his historia ecclesiastica in four books, which deal with the period from 439 to 527 in a more independent way, it has only survived fragmentarily.
