The property Theresienstraße 14; 16 in Bad Kissingen , the major district town of the Lower Franconian district of Bad Kissingen , is one of the Bad Kissingen architectural monuments . Originally it was registered under the number D-6-72-114-353 in the Bavarian Monument List .

history

The core of the originally two-storey property was built around 1840 as the former Dr. von Sohlern around 1840. The building initially only consisted of its current left (southern) half. This core of the property is kept in the classicism style and belongs to the original Biedermeier- style buildings on Theresienstraße . On the back facing the Franconian Saale , there was a two-flight flight of stairs leading into extensive gardens.

In order to meet the increasing demand of the growing spa business, the third floor and today's right (northern) half with the northern corner bay were added towards the end of the 19th century under architect Josef Wedler . The corner bay window with a pointed helmet is kept in the style of the neo-renaissance as it was built in the 1890s .

In 1936 the property was converted into a residential building.
