Theron Warth
Theron Warth (born November 17, 1911 in Los Angeles , California , † July 24, 1974 in Los Angeles County ) was an American film editor and film producer .
Life
From the late 1930s to 1946, Warth worked as an editor, primarily for RKO Pictures . His work here includes more than 20 productions, most recently he was involved in the film Notorious , directed by Alfred Hitchcock . Directors, with whom he has worked several times, were Jack Hively and Leslie Goodwins. From the mid-1940s he embarked on a career as a producer and was last active as such in 1953.
At the 1948 Academy Awards , Warth, along with Richard Fleischer and Sid Rogell, was awarded the Oscar in the Best Documentary Category for the documentary Design for Death .
Warth is buried in Inglewood Park Cemetery .
