Thesium bergeri is a species of linseed leaf ( Thesium ).

description

Thesium bergeri is a perennial stem hemicryptophyte or subshrub. The species reaches a stature height of 5 to 15 centimeters. The rhizome is strong and woody. The linear to oblong-linear leaves are entire and not fleshy. The partial inflorescences are clearly stalked. The sparse nuts are up to 4 millimeters in size.

The flowering period extends from March to June.

The number of chromosomes is 2n = 16.

Occurrence

Thesium bergeri occurs in the eastern Mediterranean. The range of the species extends from Albania, Greece, Macedonia, the Aegean Sea to Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan and Israel. The species grows in pine forests, on Phrygana and on rubble slopes.
