Thiadric Hansen

Thiadric Hansen (born December 26, 1992 in Flensburg ) is a German football player .

career

Hansen was trained in the youth of the Flensburg Sealords  , in 2012 he moved to the Kiel Baltic Hurricanes in the highest German league, the GFL . In the 2012 season he reached the final of the German championship with the team from Schleswig-Holstein's state capital, but there they had to admit defeat to the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns . In 2014 and 2015, the linebacker won the title in the European Football League (EFL) with the Kiel team . With the German national team, he finished second at the World Games in Wroclaw in 2017 .

After seven years of playing in Kiel, Hansen looked around for another club, and in January 2019 he was introduced to the Potsdam Royals as a new addition. In spring 2019 he took part in a viewing event for the Canadian CFL , and in April 2019 the Winnipeg Blue Bombers secured the rights to Hansen in the league's first draft for European players . Instead of spending the 2019 game year in Potsdam, as initially planned, the Flensburg native moved to Canada after recommending himself for a place in Winnipeg's squad at a training camp. Unlike in the previous course of his career, he was not used in Winnipeg on the linebacker position, but as a defensive end . In November 2019, Hansen and his team won the championship in the CFL.
