Thilo Petry-Lassak

Thilo Petry-Lassak (stage name: THiLO ) is a German children's book author.

biography

Petry-Lassak grew up in a family of booksellers in Westphalia. At the age of 21 he studied journalism and German at the University of Münster and worked for a local newspaper and radio ffn . In the meantime, several trips took him to Africa, Asia and Central America before he founded the cabaret trio Die Motzbrocken with Christoph Salzig (née Huneke) and Norbert Diedrich . The cabaret won the Grazer Kleinkunstpreis with its programs and made it into the final at the Hessian Satirepreis .

After completing his studies, he moved to Mainz, where he lives with his wife and four children. He writes stories for children as well as audio books or scripts, for example for Siebenstein , Sesame Street or Bibi Blocksberg .

His book The Rusty Robert and Eleven Accidental Coincidences of Family & Co was voted one of the most beautiful new publications of 2003. With 1001 Adventures he also created a series of children's books in which every reader can decide for himself how the story should continue at the end of a chapter. His first youth thriller was released in July 2007 with the title Mummy Heart. The second part of the mystical trilogy was published in March 2008. Thilo P. Lassak researched the trilogy for almost three years. The third volume was published in September 2008.
