Thin White Rope is an American rock band from the 1980s to the early 1990s. It was founded in 1984 by front man Guy Kyser in Davis, California . By the time they broke up in 1992, Thin White Rope released five studio albums. The double album The One That Got Away is a recording from their farewell concert on June 28, 1992 in Ghent, Belgium . The band broke up because Guy Kyser began studying in Berkeley .
