Thomas Dehler Prize

With the Thomas Dehler Prize , the Thomas Dehler Foundation has been honoring an eminent personality and their services in memory of the liberal politician Thomas Dehler every year since 1985 . This includes, above all, services to the liberal organization of the internal unity of Germany, the strengthening of the rule of law and services in the fight against prejudice, intolerance and hatred between peoples, races, classes and religions and against the enemies of freedom.

The prize is not endowed and is awarded during a public ceremony.

The Federal Ministry for Internal German Relations awarded a Thomas Dehler Prize until its dissolution in 1991 .
