Thomas Andrew Knight
Thomas Andrew Knight (born August 12, 1759 in Ludlow , † May 11, 1838 in London ) was a British botanist and pomologist .
Life
Knight studied at Balliol College of Oxford University . Before that, he had already carried out private studies on plant breeding. From 1795 he was in contact with the botanist Joseph Banks . From 1799 to 1823 he crossed peas. He also gained knowledge in the field of geotrophy . He also sought to improve the yields of crops and livestock by using scientific breeding methods.
