Thomas Bührke

Thomas Bührke (born December 7, 1956 in Celle ) is a German astrophysicist , science journalist and author in the fields of space travel, physics and astrophysics.

Life

After finishing school in Celle, Bührke began studying physics in Göttingen in 1976 . In 1980 he moved to Heidelberg University , where he graduated from the Max Planck Institute for Nuclear Physics in 1983. In 1986 he received his doctorate at the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy in Heidelberg. From 1988 he wrote as an editor for the Physikalische Blätter . Since 1990 he has been working as an editor for Physics in Our Time and as a freelance science journalist and book author.

The focus of his work is the representation of astronomical topics. He regularly publishes in daily newspapers and magazines such as Süddeutsche Zeitung , Die Welt , Berliner Zeitung , Spectrum of Science , Image of Science and Stars and Space .
