Thomas Bachler (born June 3, 1965 in Schwaz , Tyrol ) is a former Austrian bobsleigh athlete . Bachler competed at the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville , 1994 in Lillehammer and 1998 in Nagano . His best placement was sixth in the 1994 four-man bobsleigh in Lillehammer. Together with Gerhard Rainer , he competed in the two-man bobsleigh in 1992 and finished in eighth place. With Rainer, Carsten Nentwig and Martin Schützenauer he finished 10th in the four-man bobsleigh. In 1994 he only competed in the four-man bobsleigh with Kurt Einberger , Carsten Nentwig and Martin Schützenauer; In 1998 he was in the second team for Austria with Kurt Einberger, Georg Kuttner and Michael Müller .
