society

Thomas Cruise joined Arsenal FC's youth academy on July 31, 2007 as a student . In November 2007 he made his debut for Arsenal's reserve team. With the academy team he won the FA Youth Cup 2008/09. On December 9, 2009, Arsenal had already qualified in Group H for the round of 16 of the 2009/10 UEFA Champions League . Therefore, coach Arsène Wenger used a lot of youngsters from the reserve team for the last group game against Olympiacos . So he got his first professional game, which he played for a full 90 minutes. On November 3, 2010 he was loaned to the Football League One club Carlisle United for a month . After three league games and one game in the FA Cup , he returned to Arsenal. However, Cruise was released from his contract in June 2011 along with two other players from the reserve team and was left without a club. After a discharge, he completed trial training at Sampdoria Genoa , Scunthorpe United , and New England Revolution from Major League Soccer .

On June 28, 2012, he signed a one-year deal with fourth division Torquay United .

National team

From 2006 to 2007 he played eight games for the England U-16 national team. In 2007 he was appointed to the U-17 national team. In October he played two international matches in the first qualifying round for the U-17 European Football Championship in 2008 , but missed the second qualifying round in March 2008 due to an injury. In the U-19 belonged to the team that reached the semi-finals of the U-19 European Football Championship 2010 and thus qualified for the Junior Football World Cup 2011 in Colombia .
